From your art instructor,

Over the past 20 years, much of my artistic practice has involved arts engagement with young people and community members. I have had the privilege to design and implement art programming for children in schools, libraries, galleries, parks, gardens, malls and through online platforms towards creating community murals, huge whales, outdoor performances, stop-frame animations, community processions, lantern parades, sound installations, curriculum-based arts programming, and more.
These projects delight, inform and shape my approaches to art-making and art-sharing as I continue  to create safe, dynamic programming for creative sparks to shine and grow.

I have been trained as an Artist-Educator through the Royal Conservatory’s Artist in Education Program, studied life-drawing and sculpture with the Toronto School of Art, completed the Foundation Year Program at The Ontario College of Art (known now as OCAD), was awarded a scholarship to attend the Humber College Puppetry Intensive, and have been awarded several grants through the Ontario Arts Council, The City of Peterborough, Trent University, and Artsweek Peterborough.
This education and life experience has helped to inform both my art practice and my understanding of how to develop meaningful pedagogies that support young artists.  Welcome!
